Spring beautifying the yard and house

This is my favorite time of year - Spring clean-up and Spring cleaning.  Such huge progress can be seen and felt.  And I love the look and feel of progress.

We did the yard, front entryway, and back porch last Saturday.  Until a belt on the Kubota broke when Adrian was finishing up the back 40.  Lol.  At least the belt broke in March and not May.  We have plenty of time to bring it in and get it fixed.  And at least Adrian was already 90% done with the whole yard when it broke (and the front and side yards were completely done where the curb appeal is anyway).  I can't wait for the grass to green up!  And can't wait to add bright flowers to the flower bed across the front of the house.  I think I am going to do all reds and whites this year to pick up on the Americana theme (and match the red brick and white mortar).  I'd love to add house lighting up each of the gables this year, too.  We'll see.  And a flag pole (with lighting up the flagpole, too).  And then blast the National Anthem from the front window.  And march the kids out each morning to raise the flag and say the pledge.  Wouldn't that be lovely?
