True Love

Abs is at the stage now where she is madly in love with her daddy.  And he with her.

When he walks through the door after work, she goes nuts.  Chapman does, too, but he simmers down after a minute or two.  Abby doesn't.  She walks on his feet, clings to his legs, and generally glows and begs for his every second of attention until, well, until he gives it to her.  Which he does.  At almost 26 months old, he still lets her eat dinner sitting on his lap.  Off of his plate.  And whatever these babies want to do with their daddy for the night, they've got it.  Hide-and go-seek every night, frozen tag, dancing to the Hot Dog Dance on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Chapman: "I'm next!  I'm next!"  Abby: "Baby's turn!  Baby's turn!"

Well, I heard Adrian pull into the driveway tonight and got my iPhone camera ready to see if I could catch a frame of Abby when her daddy walked through the door and into the room.

I caught it.

Can you see the little hearts streaming out of her eyes when she sees him?

there's not enough xanax in this world to combat the amount of stress i feel right now.

and my car is in the shop, so i am stuck at home with two toddlers playing candyland.  and there's not enough xanax in this world for that fact alone.

It Is Completed! AND I LOVE IT!

My last charm came in the mail today, a church, that represents the 4 years (May, 2004 - May, 2008) that I pastored Blackjack Presbyterian Church in Batesville, MS... one of the great joys of my life.  The company that I ordered the charm from threw in another charm of Adrian and my birthstones combined, which I already had... so now I am putting each charm with Adrian and my birthstones combined as bookends on each side of our childrens' charms.

Analytical Thinking

This morning Andrew looked at my Hallmark Gold Crown sticker for my mom's birthday card and said, "Is that the King's money?"

I.love.this.bracelet.

THIS BRACELET IS MEANING MORE AND MORE TO ME WITH EACH CHARM ADDED!

(I am only adding one more charm, a church, to this bracelet.  Then this bracelet is complete - unless we have another baby someday, then I'll add another initial and birthstone.)  I LOVE things with meaning/sentiment, especially jewelry with meaning/sentiment.  And I'm sure Adrian would have me add, "especially expensive things with meaning/sentiment".  Not necessarily, but not excluding expensive things to be sure.

Left to right:
  • Beveled clasp to prevent the charms from coming off the end
  • Dangling Engagement ring = Engagement (it even looks like my engagement ring)
  • Whale = Honeymoon (humpback whale season in Maui and our humpback whale excursion)
  • Wedding carriage = Wedding
  • Double birthstone charm = Adrian and my birthstones combined (August and December)
  • Dangling pearl = Because it's pretty (if i ever run out of room, this one will have to come off b/c it has no significant life event attached to it)  Or I could say because of my pearly white teeth???  (*sips on coffee*)
  • P, A, A = Kids initials and birthstones (The focal point of this bracelet, primarily a Mother's Bracelet)
  • Bible = Getting ordained/Becoming a minister
  • Dangling Cross = Becoming a Christian
  • Camera = Because I'm the Mamarazzi
  • Dangling Graduation cap = Master's Degree, $25k of my own moo-lah, Summa Cum Laude
  • (Church charm still to come = Pastoring Blackjack Presbyterian)

Then Finished.  Let me tell you, it has some weight to it, too.
