Raising Kids God's Way

Adrian was just about to leave to run a few errands on Sunday night.

Abby ran into the mudroom to catch him right before he left.

She said, "When you come back, do you want to do some hexes and spells with me?"

Sunday, the Lord's day.

Adrian and I and the kids tried out a new hole-in-the-wall southern meat-and-three restaurant in a very country (cunnnn-tree) part of Tennessee right outside of Memphis.  While they had every southern entree you can imagine with about 15-20 delicious southern sides to choose from (and every cobbler known to man), I decided to opt for a cheeseburger.  The waitress, who happened to look like she was straight off the set of the 1970's show "Alice" ("Mel's Diner"), in her attempt to find out if I wanted my cheeseburger fully loaded with all the deluxe cheeseburger options, asked with the strongest twang:

"Yewww (you) want it ran through the garden?"

I nearly choked on my sweet tea trying to stifle my laugh.

You can't make stuff like this up.

And this, my friends, is why I will never leave the south.

Bless her heart.

Jonathan - 7 months old

Since this vehicle is not increasing my sex appeal, I might as well have fun with it.

Peyton's 2014 Girl's Varsity Soccer State Championship Ring came in yesterday

Tom Cruise, Risky Business (late posted video post from August 5, 2014)

Adrian and I went on a dressy date a few weeks ago (to entertain business) - and brought Churchill with us to sleep under the table in his carseat.  Peyton babysat the littles.  They sent us this video at dinner.

Do you see why Peyton is my favorite child?

Sweet Lemon Drop Photography (Muskegon, MI) photographed before and after this lady's c-section.
The photographer entitled this picture collage "What a difference an hour can make."

2007 and 2014, Then and Now

One of our fave pics of PeyPey and Uncle Chris, BFFs, from 2007.  Uncle Chris = fun uncle.  They've always had a really cool relationship.

They decided to re-create this picture again this summer, 2014.
