Adrian and Chappy were playing air hockey upstairs while I cleaned up the kitchen when all of a sudden I heard wailing. Andrew was playing with his right hand on the paddle but had his left fingers resting over the side of the table, and you guessed it, his ring finger on his left hand got hit with the air hockey puck.
After the wailing calmed down to a mere sob, Chapman managed to get out this line:
"Now, when I get married someday, I'll have to put it on this finger (and stuck up his left pointer)."
I promise you I did NOT think this way when I was 4 1/2.

Note to Grammy and Snuff
I bought the little kids a brand new huge box of 600 ct. Johnson and Johnson ear swabs and put it in their room.
I woke up to them having broken into the box and taking the cotton off both ends of approximately 550 of those swabs. There are cotton chunks and bare sticks covering 80% of their bedroom floor.
They were making food for Abigail’s horse, Minimus.
It looks like today might be a fire department day (where I drop them off there, no questions asked). If you ever want to see your grandchildren again, you might want to make imminent arrangements.

Why I don't stand a chance
In her bedtime and naptime prayers, Abby always prays to Jesus, "Dear Jesus, thank you for this wonderful day. Please help everyone in the world. We love you, Amen."
Well yesterday as I was tucking them in for nap, Abby prayed, "Dear Jesus, thank you for this wonderful day. Please help everyone in the world come to my house after nap. We love you, Amen."
Dear Lord, no.

Not *even the faith of a mustard seed
Abby was happy as she was getting in the car today that she had her miniature hippo figurine in her hand that had been misplaced for a couple days.
I said, "Jesus helped you find your hippo!"
She said, "No He did not. Androh found it. Jesus wasn't even there."
Oh.

New Christmas song
Andrew just got in the car when I picked him up from school and said, "We are learning this new song in Music class for our Christmas program... it's called 'Jingle Bells!' Wait til you hear it - you will love it, momma!"
I can't wait to hear this new song he speaks of. It sounds cute. I wonder if it will be just a fleeting song or one that will catch on and stick around for say, hundreds of years. We'll have to wait and see.

Please never grow up, Chapman Bishop.
Andrew just disappeared for 20 minutes and came back in with this paper (beaming with pride). He copied our names from the Christmas stockings. 4 yr olds are delicious.
