Spring beautifying the yard and house

This is my favorite time of year - Spring clean-up and Spring cleaning.  Such huge progress can be seen and felt.  And I love the look and feel of progress.

We did the yard, front entryway, and back porch last Saturday.  Until a belt on the Kubota broke when Adrian was finishing up the back 40.  Lol.  At least the belt broke in March and not May.  We have plenty of time to bring it in and get it fixed.  And at least Adrian was already 90% done with the whole yard when it broke (and the front and side yards were completely done where the curb appeal is anyway).  I can't wait for the grass to green up!  And can't wait to add bright flowers to the flower bed across the front of the house.  I think I am going to do all reds and whites this year to pick up on the Americana theme (and match the red brick and white mortar).  I'd love to add house lighting up each of the gables this year, too.  We'll see.  And a flag pole (with lighting up the flagpole, too).  And then blast the National Anthem from the front window.  And march the kids out each morning to raise the flag and say the pledge.  Wouldn't that be lovely?

The Doc is In

Dr. Abigail Hannah came out of her room last night with her stethoscope around her neck and a princess figurine in her hand (that was hard plastic and shaped like a triangle) as her knee mallet reflex instrument.  (I don't know what it's called.  Kate's the doctor, not me).

Jonathan and I were on the couch and she said she wanted to give us both check-ups.

She put her stethoscope in her ears and lifted the bottom of my t-shirt to listen to my stomach and moved it around a few times to keep listening.  Next, she hit the top of my hand with the hard figurine and quickly rubbed it after she hit it each time.  Then she looked at me and said, "What you have is your belly is wiwwy, wiwwy big."

Then I had to lay Jonathan on the couch so she could examine him.  She listened to his stomach, then directly under his rib cage, then to his right thigh.

Then she took her stethoscope out of her ears and announced his diagnosis:

"Jawnafinn has Squagle-ie.  It means his bottom is wet and he's filled with milk."

Sissy made the MRBS Varsity Soccer Team, JonJon turned 6 weeks, it was 77 degrees out today, and I've lost 6.8 lbs in my first 13 days on AdvoCare. Winning.

My girl Peyton, who just happens to be a Freshman, made the Soccer team at her school.  After 2 days of try-outs, the coach posted the list today.  About 45 girls tried out and 18 made it.  Boom.

JonJon Churchill turned 6 weeks today.  He's all business like his big brother.

So, at 6.8 lbs lost, picture one of the 5-lb fat chunks and roughly 2 of the 1-lb fat chunks gone.  You're welcome for the visual.
